About the webinar

The LEDS LAC Platform promotes the design and implementation of low emission and climate resilient development strategies. Since the beginning of the Platform, founded in 2012, its members have agreed on one thematic priority: strengthening the link between mitigation and adaptation in the climate policies. Different discussions organized within the framework have concluded that although there are examples of integration of elements of mitigation and adaptation in policies and programs addressing climate change in LAC, in many of them this integration has developed “along the way” and not as part of the design.

This webinar explored the challenges and benefits of integrating resilience in LEDS and some advances that are taking place in the LAC Region, based on the results of an Experts Workshop organized recently by LEDS LAC to address this subject. In that event, representatives from Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, and several international organizations exchanged experiences and knowledge on conceptual frameworks under development, best practices, tools, challenges and potential solutions.

The webinar was held in Spanish. If you have any questions about this event, please contact the Secretariat of the LEDS LAC Platform: info@ledslac.org.
