About the webinar

The Mitigation Action Plans and Scenarios (MAPS) programme is a south-south collaboration amongst developing countries to generate the evidence base for long-term climate compatible development. Through MAPS, Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru have been able to conduct nationally mandated research-processes for developing long term mitigation scenarios. A broad range of stakeholders are being involved in developing evidence for mitigation action plans and scenarios. The webinar featured a presentation of the MAPS approach and its results in Latin America, as well as the way Peru and Chile are banking on the MAPS processes to develop the Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) that they must submit to the United Nations Convention on Climate Change.

The webinar was in Spanish.
