The "Peer to Peer Dialogue" initiative seeks to facilitate peer-to-peer cooperation to enhance the implementation of NDCs in Latin America. This project is executed by the Avina Foundation with GIZ, in collaboration with ECLAC, within the framework of the EUROCLIMA+ program and seeks to systematize experiences that enhance the implementation of NDCs, with a special emphasis on sectoral and territorial articulation initiatives.
On the other hand, the LEDS LAC Regional Platform is a community of people and organizations that are leading the transformation towards low-emission and climate-resilient development in Latin America and the Caribbean. The platform is a regional meeting space to (1) open opportunities for collaboration and synergies, (2) strengthen capacities and promote joint learning (3) systematize and disseminate information, tools and resources to achieve the transformation. LEDS LAC annually organizes its Regional Workshop as a space for face-to-face interaction for members of the Platform and different partners.
Considering the convergence of objectives between both parties, this year the idea was to carry out this joint event in order to take advantage of synergies and complementarities between the two initiatives.
The event is supported by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and CAF - Development Bank of Latin America, as well as the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Public Administration and Policy (FIIAPP), the German Cooperation, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the U.S. Department of State and NDC Partnership.
