What actions are required for climate finance to promote a comprehensive vision of resilient and low-emission development? What should an integrated mitigation, adaptation and development MRV system look like?
These and other questions were part of the dialogue that took place on October 10-12 in San Jose, Costa Rica, between experts in climate change, financing and MRV. The workshop sought to facilitate the exchange and discussion of previous and current experiences on these issues among the countries of the LAC region and other interested organizations. The workshop was attended by 27 people from Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Mexico. The main result of the workshop was the identification of lessons learned, good practices and recommendations for future work.
The workshop was organized by LEDS LAC, with the support of the Climate Change Directorate of the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Costa Rica. It was supported and financed by the European Union through the EUROCLIMA program.
LEDS LAC is a network of organizations and individuals working in the promotion, design and implementation of LEDS in Latin america and the Caribbean.
