About the event<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The <\/span>Initiative for Climate Action Transparency (ICAT)<\/span><\/a> has developed the Non-State and Subnational Action Guide to help policymakers and analysts identify, quantify and integrate the impacts of non-state and subnational actions. With this information it is possible to improve national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions trajectories and climate policies.<\/span><\/p>\n

In order to increase the accessibility of the guides in Spanish-speaking countries, especially in the Latin American and Caribbean region, the guide has been translated into Spanish and a webinar was held on May 10th. In this event, the benefits of using the guide and why it is important to apply it were presented. Andr\u00e9s Flores, Director of Climate Change and Energy of the World Resources Institute (WRI) presented the main features of the guide as well as its applications. In addition, Sebasti\u00e1n Gar\u00edn, Coordinator of the HuellaChile Program at the Ministry of<\/span> Environment of Chile, shared Chil<\/span>e’s experience using the guide.\u00a0 The recording and materials of the webinar can be found at the following link: <\/span>https:\/\/www.ledslac.org\/webinars\/guia-accion-no-estatal-y-subnacional-iniciativa-transparencia-accion-climatica-icat\/<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

After the webinar, we explored the interest of the participants in attending a deep-dive session in which the guide and the process of applying it are presented in more depth, answering different questions such as: <\/span>How long does it take to apply the guide? What resources are necessary to apply it?<\/span><\/i> In addition, the aim is for those interested to learn about the ICAT application process.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
