Nazareth Porras.<\/strong> Head of Cooperation with the European Union and Environmental Funds, Ministry of National Planning and Economic Policy (MIDEPLAN) | <a href=\"https:\/\/ledslac.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/Presentacio\u0301n-Nazareth-Porras.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Download presentation<\/a><\/p>\n<h2><strong>About the webinar<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Community of Practice on Monitoring and Evaluation of Climate Policies (M&amp;E CoP) which is facilitated by the EUROCLIMA+ program through FIIAPP and the LEDS LAC Platform, was launched in 2018 to address the need, identified by Latin American countries, of counting robust, well designed and practical M&amp;E systems for climate policies and action plans. These systems are key parts, both to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the adaptation and mitigation processes, by incorporating new information and lessons learnt and to verify and report in a transparent way, the compliance of the commitments in tne United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement and other multilateral agreements.<\/p>\n<p>With this in mind, and with the participation of 17 Latin American countries, for the past two years, the M&amp;E CoP has organized online exchange sessions and in-person meetings to exchange experiences and strengthen capacities in priority topics such as the M&amp;E systems governance, the Enhanced Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement, adaptation metrics, among others. In this process, valuable lessons learnt have been collected and will be shared during this webinar.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar will be held in Spanish.
