About the webinar<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) was created to canalize resources from developed countries to developing countries to finance their actions in climate change mitigation and adaptation. The GCF is expected to become the main fund to finance the fight against climate change, with the mobilization of 100 billion USD by 2020.<\/p>\n

In order to access this Fund, countries must have the capacity to plan financing as well as to monitor, report and verify the financial costs associated with climate change. For this, there is a readiness support program with the objective of improving the domestic appropriation and the access to the GCF by means of the strengthening of institutional capacities.<\/p>\n

In this webinar the participants will learn the recent advances in the operation of the GCF the preparation of the LAC countries to access funding from it, and will have the opportunity ask questions in a segment specially designed to clarify doubts and guide the search for additional information.
