They are responsible for 2.6 gigatonnes (Gt) of CO2 emissions, or 7% of energy-related emissions (IEA, 2017). 76% of the 165 NDCs submitted involve transportation as a source of mitigation (SloCat, 2018). Strengthening NDCs will require an effective approach to the sector.<\/p>\n<p>Understanding how different cost-saving measures can work is key to monitoring cargo operations and analyzing where efficiencies can be achieved. It is key to increase knowledge and understanding of the importance of the different tools in a holistic manner.<\/p>\n<p>Three projects will be presented on this topic. First, the low-emission freight transportation program EcoLogistics of the organization Local Governments for Sustainability-ICLEI and its initiatives in Colombia and Argentina. Then the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy of Mexico will explain the strategies they are implementing for sustainable logistics programs, pioneers in Latin America. Finally, the fuel saving measures implemented by the logistics operator Zarcam, founding partner of the Intelligent Transport Program in Argentina, will be presented. The webinar will be in Spanish. For three years, she assumed the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Development of a city in the interior of S\u00e3o Paulo, with actions granted by the state government for the elaboration and implementation of public policies for sustainable local development.
