There is a growing interest in learning about low emission development planning and processes as critical elements in achieving robust design, strong ownership and sustained implementation of Low Emission Development Strategies (LEDS). Multi-stakeholder involvement in a participatory LEDS process and government support and leadership are two key factors that facilitate building lasting capacity and political viability for low emission development.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first webinar in the series discusses emerging good practices and tools for LEDS planning and processes, including mitigation action plans and scenarios (MAPS) for low-emission development. Other topics include LEDS process facilitation and stakeholder integration, public leadership and reform management, and linkages between LEDS at the national and sub-national levels.<\/p>\n
