We are at a key moment for countries to take action to increase the ambition of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). According to the Paris Agreement, countries will have until 2020 to reevaluate their climate plans and commit themselves to a level of ambition that will prevent global warming above 1.5 \u00b0 C.<\/p>\n

One of the challenges facing the Latin American and Caribbean region is to establish clear mechanisms for citizen participation in the development and implementation of climate policies and programs. This webinar will focus on the importance of citizen participation, multisectoral and multilevel to establish low-emission economic processes and resilient to climate change that are sustainable in the long term. The objective of the webinar is to know participatory processes that are working in Latin America, as well as to open a space for an exchange of ideas among countries around the challenges and opportunities that we have in the region to integrate different participants in the review and implementation of the NDCs.<\/p>\n
