Governments have a variety of fiscal instruments – including taxes on polluting activities – to promote a more inclusive green growth as economic signals are sent to reorient investment towards cleaner technologies.<\/p>\n The goal of this webinar is to examine in more detail the benefits of green fiscal instruments and the experience of Chile in the creation of a new tax on carbon emissions. This tax applies to companies operating thermal plants with installed capacity equal or larger than 50 megawatts (MW).
